"Growing Your Charitable Legacy Through Gifting Appreciated Assets: Focus on Business and Real Estate Gifts"
With special guest speaker: Jon D. Eisenberg President, National Christian Foundation, Lancaster
Jon will introduce some of the more sophisticated and tax-efficient opportunities available through a donor-advised fund, specifically the advantages of a donor-advised fund over a private foundation and look at examples of gifting business and real estate interests.
Jon and his wife, Jen, have two children. He loves helping givers and organizations grow in generosity. When not at work he loves good conversations, especially about Liverpool FC, the Philadelphia Union or U2. He also enjoys reading books about strategy and science fiction. Jon has spent most of his career in the ministry of generosity. Most recently he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He first experienced our community’s extraordinary generosity, and the power of giving appreciated assets, while serving as VP of Advancement at Water Street Mission in Lancaster, PA. Jon holds bachelor degrees in music and in philosophy from Lehigh University.
